    Paper Jamming

You will only be looking at this item because you are experiencing paper jams. Your Konica Minolta, Develop & Olivetti Printers use a series of rubber paper feed tires to transport the paper through the printing process.

    Primary Paper Feed

The primary feed roller rotates to drive the paper from the cassett6e to pinch point between the Secondary Feed & Resist Rollers. If you have an issue withe the Primary Feed Roller you usually get a grey scuff mark left on the top sheet of paper, in the paper tray. This occurs when the Primary Feed Tire spins on the top sheet paper instead of gripping it.

The printer employs a paper lift motor to lift the paper to contact the primary Paper Feed roller, ensure nothing is fowling the tray to stop the lift process.

NOTE:- If the paper has been  damaged (edges turned over) during loading this will also cause paper Jams. The better the paper quality the fewer the issues you will have, we recommend Modo Data Copy or Xerox brand papers for good performance.

    Secondary Paper Feed

The secondary feed and resist roller handle seperation, so that one sheet is fed at a time. The gap between the two rollers is set so that only one sheet may be fed at a time. The resist roller is rotating in the opposite direction to secondary feed to ensure second and third sheets remain in the cassette.

The three rollers should be thought off as one part, they should always be changed in conjunction hence why we sell them as a kit.

They still feel like they have grip?

The key conponent in rollers is latex, its what gives the rubber grip. If you find an old rubber at the back of your draw, when you try and use it, it snaps in two when you apply pressure. This is due to the Latex having dried out, its the same with feed tires when they dry out they will not have traction.

How to test whether your rollers need replacing?

You can put your rollers to the test by wiping the rollers with a damp cloth, all the time they are damp the machine will feed paper. After hlf an hour your feed problems will return.
