The OKI C810dn LED Printer

Reliable A3 printer, utilisimg OKI's LED print technology the C810dn offers any business a A3 printer with exceptional print quality, duplex (double sided) printing. You can add additional paper trays so that you can have A4 and A3 paper on line for use when required. The machine has a versatile manual sheet bypass that can be used with paper sizes from A6 - A3, Banner paper 297 x 1200cm, Labels, Envelopes, Stickers and Plastic media. The machine can print on paper stocks up to 176gsm through the paper trays or 220gsm through the bypass, when printing heavey weight card stock you can lower a rear paper tray so the media has a straight paper path.

Is the OKIC810 a Laser Printer

The OKI C810 utilises the same technology with regard to using a toner and electrostatic drum to transfer the image on to the paper and a fuser unit to heat and crush the toner on to the paper. Where the machines differ is the way the image is written to the drum.

The OKI C810 employs OKI's LED technology providing clearer sharper images then laser. LED technology uses solid state (no moving parts) LED print heads to write the image directly to the drum units, a laser printer requires a focal length of approx 1M to focus the image on to the drum, this requires up to 7 mirrors to relay the laser back and forth before finally reaching the drum. The OKI C810 LED Print Heads fit neatly between the toner cartridges, the result being a smaller mor compact printer. A Laser Printers laser mirrors will stain and become obscured by dust overtime requiring a service visit to clean the Polygon Mirror and focal mirrors this can take 2 hours as the laser unit is usually at the heart of the machine. OKI C810 LED print heads can easily be cleaned by the end user when fitting new toners.
